Mission of Culture Friendly Consulting, LLC

The mission of Culture Friendly Consulting, LLC, is to help people connect across differences.  Developing cross-cultural communication skills, a deeper understanding of ones own culture, the implicit biases that we all have, and empathy for those who may feel marginalized are all crucial first step.  For example, "connecting people" might refer to a local bank that wants to provide excellent customer service for an increasingly diverse community, a college campus working to create a more integrated and  and inclusive campus or a small business ready to benefit from and overcome the challenges of growing a diverse and vibrant workforce.  The next step is to examine the structures that exist both in ones workplace, and in our communities that may hinder retention of diverse employee and their sense of belonging. 

CFCs primary focus is on serving the American Midwest (USA). How do we do that? CFC offers consulting, coaching, training and programming services targeted to meet specific needs. Our clients recognize they are living in communities where the demographics are rapidly changing, and in a world that now is demanding cultural competency skills as a pre-requisite for success. CFC frequently utilizes assessment methods to determine current levels of cultural competence for organizations and/or individuals, thus allowing us to efficiently and effectively address specific needs, and connect with people “where they are at."  Culture Friendly Consulting's goal is to assist clients, and members of their organizations, to develop the mindset, skills and knowledge to connect across differences and be successful!
